Assistant Workshop Manager
Summarize briefly the major function and purpose of the position.
Responsible for all performance associated with all activities at the Customer Support Base; including Health and Safety, Quality, Workshop Execution, and Financial. Development of personnel in accordance with local legislation and Base Manual.
What are the minimum qualifications an employee must have in order to perform the duties of the position (i.e. educational requirements, licenses, certification, work experience, training, etc.)?
At least 10 years industry experience with minimum 5 years in relevant supervisory role.
Strong Product knowledge, good working practices, financial control/optimization exposure.
Proven past experience of management and supervision in similar role and exposure to financial control, proactive initiative developments, quality improvement process.
Must demonstrate strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with suppliers and co-workers in a team-based environment.
Must demonstrate good report writing and presentation skills.
Demonstrates ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures.
Shows evidence of good organization and planning skills.
PC skills including spreadsheet, word processing, relational database, project management software and SAP or similar mainframe experience.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
Some understanding of internal economic factors affecting projects to which assigned.
